The Heavy Maskaleon is a "multi-elemental" Heavy Weapon released in the Carnival 2018 Update as a part of the Brazilian Scrapper Gear.

Strategies[]

Besides being in likeness to its former, this Heavy without any modifications to the head proves rather impractical, acting much like the Siege Cannon, as handlers gain a massive crosshair, although relaxed by the fact it deals good damage in relation with a great rate of fire. Again straying from the old, this version does not gain adjusted firepower throughout any mask worn, but does consists of decent agility - great reload speed and magazine size.

No thanks to its crosshair, this weapon is highly suspectable in great distances, and should only be relegated to Ambush, taking a Camping strategy on it, as users await the arrival of enemies in compact and populated areas, going unnoticed for a limited time before venturing to other areas of interest. Ranged enemies, such are those wielding Launchers, Assault Weapons, or Bows can deal with its damage output long enough to deliver a lethal blow.

Entering into supply brings with it almost no difference from being maskless, only that now the handler gains the ability to help allies when and where they need it most in Team Vs, however like any healer, this weapon does not make the receiver invulnerable whilst being under its effect. Prolonged exposure to moderate builds is still a hazard for this gun, and should be avoided, allowing teammates to possibly soak them up.

As the Heavy Weapon still maintains its massive crosshair, holders should expect the same strategy of Ambush, in the guise of a Camping strategy, but some room is made now, as players may want to make risks in a moments notice to get up behind comrades, and healing them, allowing for a Meat Shield. Caught in the heat of battle, and this medic may endure the dangers of Shotguns, Bows, and Launchers.

Still not far off in terms of stats, equipping this mask enables for incendiary ammunition, the crosshair remains, however the damage bumps up by 50%, granting the wielder newfound firepower, that makes them far more devastating to moderate builds, and will cook through maxed builds if caught in close reaches.

Disbanding the idea of staying hidden, this weapon is now far more reliable, and is urged in Run And Gun, as though it has staggering range, the mentioned crosshair can create a steep cost in firefights; think of this Heavy Weapon as a shotgun, getting very close to the enemy, and either preform an Ambush or light them up in mid-range encounters. Mindful foes can slither through its burns using long range Launchers, Bows, and Assault Weapons.

Crowning itself as one of the most deadly and quite literally toxic weapons, this avian endows the weapon the poison, which surprisingly sticks to the steep damage up seen in the aggression "perk", but with the added effect of even more damage over time, which will stack significantly quickly if an enemy is unfortunate enough to face the holder. Since it practically triples its damage, this weapon can strike fear in maxed builds if they stick around to long.

Pertaining to all other forms, this enchantment maintains the overall reliability of the gun, but will continue to keep the user without significant strength at all distances, however that being said, it has attributes that still make it very potent even when Camping from Afar; if need be though, handlers are more than welcome to Run And Gun, as here its damage is maximized. Spiteful opponents can still get the best of this gun when surprising with Shotguns, Launchers, and Dual Weapons.

Trivia[]

  • This is one of few weapons where accuracy remains unaffected by Burning Spirit I.
  • Almost going unchanged from its rifle model, this weapon sees tremendous usage from those using the Wind Carnival Mask.
    • Not like it though, this heavy receives very little in statistical differences with each mask, with damage playing a key role in this gun, as it's doubled with either the Aggressive Carnival Mask or Wind Carnival Mask.
  • Technically this weapon was misnamed during its debut, as it should have been named the 'Heavy Maskeleon', to connect with the naming of the rifle; this changed in the Summer Camp 5 Update where there the rifle had its name slightly altered to correlate instead with this later gun.
  • During the Myth Hunters Update, this gun received an additional sentencing in its passive card, which reads "Damage types don't apply for missions.", which is proven false, since they do in fact still apply and register onto all Bots & Elite Enemies.
