Energy-Based Weapons are weapons that fire projectiles that are based on energy. They do double the damage to ghosts in the Ghostbusters 30th (Event) and Ghostbusters (Event), and most recently the Superstars (Event). There are currently 19 Energy-Based Weapons and they are:

Armor Effects
Certain armors can affect Energy-Based Weapons:
- The Ghostbusters T-shirt '84 (B) and Ghostbusters T-shirt 2016 (B) decreases the Damage of Energy-Based Weapons respectively by 15% and 30%.
- The Ghostbusters T-shirt '84 (W) and Ghostbusters T-shirt 2016 (W) boosts the Damage of Energy-Based Weapons respectively by 15% and 20%.
- The Protection Glasses increases the Accuracy by 5%, the Ghostbuster Jumpsuit (Body) increases the Damage by 25%, while the Ghostbuster Jumpsuit (Legs) reduces the Damage from said weapons by 25%!
- The Ghostbusters Jacket reduces the Damage from Energy-Based Weapons by 50%, and the Ghostbusters Pants ignores the Slow Down Effect caused by some Energy-Based Weapons.
- The A.S.P. Armor reduces the Damage from Energy-Based Weapons by 70%!
- The 'WASP' Pants increases the Damage of Energy-Based Weapons by 25%!
